Production Engineer for Ongoing Operational Production Support at Saab Landskrona

Your Role

The production engineering team plays a vital role in the strategic work of developing and streamlining production for submarines and surface vessels at our sites. The team consists of around 20 specialists in production engineering and fixture design.

We are now looking for production engineers in Landskrona with knowledge and experience in production engineering development from the manufacturing industry, preferably the shipbuilding industry. In your role as a production engineer, you will work with layouts, buildings, work methods, investments, and implementation to improve and streamline our production towards submarine construction. You will be involved from concept to finished production capability. You will be an important cog in the organization as we build up the production engineering team in Landskrona with a strong focus on implementing our production capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Implement and commission capabilities in ongoing investments
• Work with layouts for buildings and production flow
• Define, analyze, develop, and improve production methods, primarily for sheet metal and welded structures.
• Develop technical specifications and drive investment work
• Document and communicate the process's capabilities and requirements in a structured manner

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest and preferably a few years of experience in the role of production engineer within the manufacturing industry. You have a strong internal drive and want to find ways forward to achieve results. The assignments require the ability to deliver according to established requirements, both technically and financially, on schedule. In your work, you are goal-oriented and solution-focused with a sense of order and structure, as well as an ability to lead yourself. You are driven by seeing the results of your work in production.

You will operate in an environment with many contact points and cross-functional collaboration.

For this profile, it is desirable/meritorious to have

• Experience from production engineering assignments within low-volume production / shipbuilding industry
• Development of layouts for flows and buildings
• Experience implementing equipment and production capabilities in production
• Ability to plan and follow up according to project plans
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
